Mr Shifter Removals has been providing friendly professional removals services for our local community for over 40 years. The key to Mr Shifter’s success is that we are a family run business, meaning we are large enough to cope with any of your removal needs but small enough to understand what is important to your individual removal.
Mr Shifter Removals and Storage remains a Family owned and run business since 1982. We are proud that over 95% of our new business comes from our historic reputation and our customers’ recommendation. All of our staff are permanently employed and professionally trained to the BAR standard, and carry out exactly what are customers expect.

All our local and long distance work is quoted on a fixed price quote, we would recommend this and we would send an estimator to your premises to carry out a free, no obligation assessment and quotation.
If you require, we are able to provide cartons, transit robes, bubble wrap, tape and packing paper for your removal.
All removal prices quoted or charged are plus VAT. Unless otherwise stated the price we quote on an hourly basis or as a fixed price provides the customer with a vehicle and a two man crew. If you feel that you would like to use extra men on your move we can arrange this for you. Likewise, if we feel your request demands more manpower we shall quote accordingly.
All our vehicles are equipped with removal blankets to protect your goods during transit, Furniture webbing to ensure that any loose or freestanding furniture can be secured during transit, Pallet wrap is available on our vehicles to minimise the risk of damage during handling of items such as Wardrobes and Chest of Drawers, Bubble wrap is carried to provide proper protection for your TVs, Forearm lifting aids to provide a safe secure means of transporting heavy furniture with limited access, Carpet protectors to ensure that any new carpets and flooring can be protected and Sack Barrows, furniture dolly’s and Piano wheels available when and where needed to ensure the smoothest results for your individual move.

Mr Shifter (London) takes it up a gear
The London team is young, energetic and ambitious and is making solid inroads into the local market, using the experience of the company in the North East to grow its presence. The business mainly focuses on domestic moves from single wardrobes to 10-bedroom mansions, but also carries out corporate relocations.
The storage activity is also growing fast, and demand from business customers for archive storage is increasing rapidly.
