How are my Goods handled when moving to the USA…
When it comes to moving abroad, the rules of furniture transport are different. Firstly, to ensure accountability for your goods. Your removals company will need to complete a full packing service and box by box inventory. This process is to reduce the risk of any goods being erroneously shipped that are prohibited and reduce any delays passing through customs.
In addition to your goods being professional packed my your removals company, your removals company will also need to ensure that all your furniture is professionally wrapped and sealed from the moment they leave your property to the moment this arrives at your destination. This is to reduce the risk of any tampering occuring during shipment as well as improving accountability for the condition of your goods when they arrive at your new home.
For Full house moves, the appropriate sized shipping container will then be selected and your goods will be professionally packed on site. The container is then taken to your local port to begin its onward journey. It is not uncommon for this process to take between 4-6 weeks.
With your goods being transported over a long period of time, the need for detail inventories is paramount. This means that in addition to all your goods being thoroughly wrapped and inventoried, All of your goods will be labelled with your name, individual Client ID and inventory number that corresponds to your copy of the inventory.

How to Choose Your International Move
When it comes to moving internationally we have a number of ways that we can get your worldly possessions moved across to your new home.
Air freight, this is by far the quickest method of having your goods shipped to your new home abroad and get your emigrating journey off to a flying start. This is, the most expensive of all the options but by far the quickest.
Sea freight, overall, this is the most cost effective method for relocating international, whilst it has a slightly longer transfer window this far outweighs the savings over air freight options and is ideal for most people moving internationally.
In addition, we can offer direct services and shared groupage.
Direct long haul service, with this service your container will arrive at your property be loaded by our dedicated removals team, sealed and taken directly to port to be shipped.
Shared groupage consignment service, this service is one of our most popular services for small long haul moves. Your goods are collected and stored at our secure warehouse, once all of our consignments are collected for a given location these are then shared space in a container with other customer heading for the same destination.
This option is very cost effective but transit time can be longer between collection and delivery at your new destination.
